From 2006 during the construction of his 60' Foncia (winner of the Vendée Globe 2008-2009, Michel Desjoyeaux and Denis Juhel had understood that the reliability of the keels was an important element of performance.

Since then, CT Mer Forte has designed and/or calculated keels for several IMOCA projects.

The new rules of the IMOCA class for the next Vendée Globe are also largely inspired by the one-piece stainless steel keels that CT Mer Forte had the opportunity to develop.
