On the strength of its victory in the Vendée Globe 2012-2013, on Macif, a 60 monohull managed by the Course au Large Mer Agitée team for which CT Mer Forte had already collaborated extensively both in design and development, but also from the renewed support of its sponsor, it is natural that François Gabart wanted Mer Forte to become the "Engineering and systems" design office for his new 100' trimaran project.

All the ingredients that have contributed to its rise in offshore racing are once again united since Michel Desjoyeaux, creator of CT Mer Forte is also associated with it as a consultant.

The ORMA 60' trimaran, "GÉANT" with which Michel shone in competitions for 5 seasons, laid the foundations for a number of innovations which continue to influence the design of these monsters of technology that are the large multihulls. The CT Mer Forte team of engineers has the culture adapted to the design of these demanding machines, making it possible to combine performance and safety, two essential elements in the specifications of François Gabart and Macif's project.
